Zebrio gives municipalities and traffic authorities an up-to-date basis for the school route plan and for measures: where children walk and ride, where parents see dangers and how many children are affected.
What you get from the school
Report
A finished report as a web page and PDF: response, means of transport, most used routes and problem spots with categories and approved comments.
Maps
Maps of the routes used and of the grouped problem spots, which you can zoom into in the report.
GIS data
GeoJSON files with the number of children per road section (in classes such as 6–10) and the problem spots, for example for QGIS.
Only summarised data
The municipality never gets a single child's route, only classes per road section (such as 6–10 children) and grouped spots, never an exact number. By default the school leaves out sections only one child uses. So the municipality can plan without seeing individual families.

How to use the results
Rank the problem spots by the number of reports and of routes affected.
Look at the spots on site with the police and the traffic authority.
Set recommended routes and safe crossings in the walking or cycling route plan.
Look again after measures: new first classes join every year, and parents can update their answers.

The school runs the survey and is responsible for the data. Municipalities can get it started, support schools with the survey and combine the GIS data of several schools in one map.

Try it first
In the demo you play through a school route survey at the invented Sonnenwiese primary school in Musterstadt, from both sides. As a parent you draw a route to school and mark dangerous and good spots. As the school you open the analysis with the key sheet and see the answers of 60 sample families on the map, up to the finished report.
