ZebrioMaking school routes visible

For parents

What is Zebrio?

With Zebrio, parents show their school how their child gets to school and where the way is dangerous. Many answers together give a clear picture: where do the municipality and the school need to act so that children arrive safely?

Why take part?

You know your child's way to school best: where cars drive too fast, where there is no safe crossing, where it gets crowded in the morning.

  • Your answers go into the municipality's school route plan. They show where, for example, a zebra crossing, traffic lights or a wider pavement are missing.

  • The more parents take part, the clearer it becomes which places really matter. Every answer counts.

  • You can also show what works well, such as a crossing guard or a safe path through a residential area.

How it works

  1. The school gives you a letter with a QR code, one per child.

  2. You scan the QR code with your phone or enter the code by hand.

  3. You draw the way to school on the map and mark dangerous and good places. You can also do it without the map, from a list of streets.

  4. With the same code you can change or delete your answers later.

On a phone or a computer

You open the questionnaire with the QR code in the letter, right in the browser, without an app and without signing up. You draw your child's route on the map, point by point, freehand, or without the map from a list of streets. Then you mark dangerous and good spots. The picture shows the demo with an invented town; the questionnaire is also in English.

Have you received a letter from the school?

Then you can start right away.

Your answers are protected

Your answers are encrypted on your device. Only your school can read them, not even the operator of Zebrio.

What you can rely on

  • Zebrio does not ask for names or addresses.
  • No advertising, no cookies, no tracking.
  • The municipality only gets summarised results, never the way of a single child.
  • Your entry is deleted automatically when your child's time at primary school ends.

What happens with your answers

The school sees which ways the children take and which places parents find dangerous. It gives a report to the municipality and the traffic authority. This report is the basis for the school route plan and for improvements on site.
